They say power corrupts.
But what they don’t say… is where it begins.
It begins in silence.
In a windowless building at Yale known only as The Tomb.
Inside, a secret society called Skull and Bones, founded in 1832, selects just fifteen men each year. There are no applications. No announcements. No explanations. Only a tap on the shoulder—and a life forever altered.
On the back of this garment, their symbol appears exactly as it has for nearly two centuries:
A skull, emotionless and direct, resting atop two crossed bones. Beneath it: 322.
This isn’t design for design’s sake.
The skull and bones have long been used across cultures—appearing on military flags, ossuaries, and even within Masonic rites. But here, they’re used not to signify danger—but transformation.
To Skull and Bones, the skull represents a death of identity—the moment the self dissolves and allegiance to something older, higher, and quieter begins.
It’s Memento Mori—a reminder of mortality, not to provoke fear, but to strip ego, to clear the mind for the shaping of legacy.
The number 322 is equally deliberate.
Some believe it refers to the death of Athenian democracy in 322 BCE, when open discourse gave way to control behind closed doors.
Others tie it to a now-buried German secret society, from which Skull and Bones may trace its philosophical roots.
There is no confirmed meaning.
And that’s the point.
On the front, the words “Skull & Bones” sit in quiet confidence—no ornament, no demand for attention. Just a mark.
Much like the society itself.
This piece is designed as they operate—austere, precise, loaded with meaning beneath the surface.
There is nothing accidental.
Even the placement of symbols mirrors what they represent: control, symmetry, hierarchy, silence.
The men who pass through The Tomb go on to shape the world: presidents, CIA directors, bankers, judges.
But they don’t speak of what they saw.
Because the power of Skull and Bones isn’t in what it shows.
It’s in what it hides.
And if wearing this makes you uneasy—
good.
That means you understand the weight of truth.
